Information notice, pursuant to section 13, Italian data protection code

(Legislative Decree 196/03 and subsequent modifications and integrations, the “Privacy Code”)

The Controllers, inform the users, individuals, of the website, the “Users” and the “Website“) that all personal data provided during navigation on the Website or on request of information and/or services with the same Website, will be processed according to the following conditions.

1. Personal data

According to the Privacy Code, as amended in 2011, personal data are defined as « any information relating to natural persons that are or can be identified, even indirectly, by reference to any other information including a personal identification number ».
In this regard, the Controllers may process personal data provided during navigation on the Website or further to requests of specific information.

Furthermore, the Controllers may process personal data provided by the Users for the registration on the Website in order to create a personal account as well as to benefit from the relevant services. On this regard, at the time of registration’s request, each User will be asked to provide his/her name, surname and e-mail address. Further personal data may be subsequently provided by the User on a voluntary basis by filling the relevant fields on the Website (e.g. phone number, social network contacts such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).

All personal data mentioned above are hereinafter referred to as the “Data“.

For the sake of completeness, it has to be noticed that, in case the Client benefiting from the services is an individual (professional), all information pertaining to his/her business provided during the Profile Completion will be included in the definition of Data.

2. Purpose of the Data processing

The Data will be processed for the purposes indicated below:

  1. Purposes connected to obligations arising from applicable laws or regulations as well as to any provision issued by the competent authority/surveillance and control body;
  2. Purposes strictly connected and/or required in order to register the account on the Website and to provide or avail of the services rendered by the Website.
  3. Marketing purposes to promote services offered by entities pertaining toMilano Cucina S.r.l. in Italy (for example invitation to seminars or conventions, sending of newsletters, research studies and other publications);
  4. Marketing purposes to promote the services offered by Seeds&Chips (for example sending of communications for information, promotion and direct marketing).

3. Processing methods

The processing of the Data:

  1. Is made through the operation, or set of operations indicated in section 4, paragraph 1, Privacy Code, including: collection, recording, organization, consultation, elaboration, modification, selection, use, interconnection, communication and erasure;
  2. Is made on paper or through electronic means, in order to fulfill the purposes indicated in paragraph 2 above and, in order to assure the security and confidentiality of the Data.

The Data will be processed and kept by the Controllers for the period required to provide the services requested by the Users.

Regarding the purposes described in previous paragraph 2, letters (c) and (d), marketing and promotional activities promoted by email will continue until such time that the User requests to unsubscribe to the receipt of such emails by clicking on the specific link provided in the footer of each email.

The Data, will be conserved in electronic or paper format within the European Union.

The Data will not be disseminated.

4. The provision of the Data

The provision of the Data for purposes under previous paragraph 3, letters (a) and (b), is necessary. Possible failure to communicate the Data will cause the impossibility for the User to finalize his/her registration on the Website and avail of the services provided therein.

The provision of the Data for purposes under previous paragraph 3, letters (c) and (d), is optional. The User will be requested to provide his/her explicit consent, through a specific field in the Website. Denial of consent will not prevent any consequence on the registration on the Website and on the availability of the related services. However, the denial of consent will prevent the User from being updated on the promotional initiatives of Seeds&Chips and/or Milano Cucina S.r.l.
Considering the co-ownership of the Website, each User is entitled to provide the two consents for the marketing purposes indicated in previous paragraph 3, letters (c) and (d), jointly, notwithstanding the faculty, as already indicated, not to release the consents without affecting the possibility to avail of the services provided by the Website. Therefore, should the User wish to receive marketing communication from only one of the Controllers, he/she shall send a communication to the addresses indicated below in this paragraph 5.

In any case, even providing the consent, at any time any User will be able to interrupt the processing of the Data for marketing activities, by requesting the deletion of the Data to be sent, for Milano Cucina S.r.l. at Via Antonio Canova, 39, 20145 Milan.

5. Subjects to which the Data may be communicated

For purposes indicated in previous paragraph 4, the Controllers may have the need to communicate the Data to third parties pertaining to one of the following categories: entities which provide accounting and invoicing as well as insurance services; authorities or surveillance bodies and, in general, public or private entities, in their quality of Public officers or functionaries; subjects who provide informative systems managing services; IT security and maintenance services; subjects who perform storage of documents and data entry; entities who provide assistance to clients.

6. Cookies

The Website uses “cookies” (i.e., information sent by the Website to the User’s computer during the navigation and which relate with the content of the Website in order to collect and remember pieces of information). More details about cookies may be found in the Cookie Statement section.

7. Rights of the data subject

Section 7, Privacy Code, allows the data subject to exercise specific rights, among which the right to request to the controller the confirmation of the existence of his/her own personal data and their communication in an intelligible form, to be informed of the source of the data, as well as of the logic applied to, of the purposes and methods of the processing, to obtain their erasure, anonymization or blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully, as well as their updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data; to object, on legitimate grounds, to their processing.

This information may be modified or updated, wholly or partially, in force of changes in the relevant law provisions. The Users are kindly requested to periodically check the information before accessing the content of the Website.

1. What are cookies

Cookies are text files that a website, like this Website, sends to Users’ computers to let the site’s owner register some data provided by the browser used by the User during the navigation.

Cookies are used in order to perform internet authentications, control navigation sessions and register specific information related to Users accessing the server and, in general, they are present in every User’s browser in high quantity.

By cookies the Website may, among the other activities, analyze User’s habits in order to provide him/her with more customized services, or to make navigation easier for him/her (e.g.., registering User’s username and password so that he/she does not need to re-enter it on every access to the Website).

2. What are the types of cookies used by the Website and for which purpose

The Website uses exclusively the following types of cookies:

  • Navigation cookies which are “technical cookies” necessary for the correct Website operation.
  • Analytic cookies which are not necessary for the Website to operate, but they may be used even without User’s prior consent, since they have statistical purposes and collect aggregated information processed by the Controllers anonymously. For this purpose, the Website uses the Google Web Analytics system which does not store data for processing at a later date, but processes them in real time, producing output in an aggregate and totally anonymous form, in compliance with Italian regulations on the protection of personal data.

The Website does not use cookies to transmit information of a personal nature, nor are the so-called persistent cookies of any type used. i.e. cookies for the tracking of users.
